THE ROLE
The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This internship requires a minimum of 16 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters, with additional hours available during academic breaks (e.g., winter and summer).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and upload journal entries to support monthly close activities
Perform account reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies
Conduct account analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making
Support strategic projects, including ERP implementation, contract analysis, and record retention initiatives
Document accounting procedures and assist in improving internal processes
Prepare schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

Education and/or Experience
Pursuing a bachelor’s in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
Prior work or internship experience preferred
Office or corporate experience is a plus
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Skills and Abilities
Strong Excel skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Interest in pursuing a career in corporate tax, public accounting, or finance.
