Legend Biotech is seeking a AI/ML Intern as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
At Legend Biotech, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation within the biopharmaceutical industry. Our IT Data, Analytics & AI team is looking for a passionate and talented Summer Intern to join us and contribute to our AI/ML projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of AI/ML models and algorithms.
- Work on graph algorithms and model development.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
- Utilize Machine Learning frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow for model development.
- Engage with Azure Cloud Platform and Snowflake products and services relevant to AI/ML/Graph, including Vertex, Cortex, and Model Marketplace.
- Apply deep learning and graph frameworks and algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analyze and solve problems, developing innovative solutions.
- Maintain high levels of organization, attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness in all tasks.
- Use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with Copilot proficiently.
Requirements
- Currently in full-time pursuit of a Master’s or advanced level degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field with graduation date Dec 2026 or later.
- Hands-on experience and academic knowledge of AI/ML and graph algorithms. (Must have prior experience in developing models for a specific business use case)
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries and tools like NumPy, Pandas and PyTorch.
- Experience or familiarity with Azure Cloud Platform and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks and algorithms (Supervised, Unsupervised, Reinforcement Learning and Neural Networks).
- Familiarity with natural language processing techniques, preferably LLM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Snowflake or willing to learn Snowflake quickly to use with AI/ML models
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Copilot/Copilot Studio.
- Interns must be able to commute to site 3 days /week.
