Job Title: Gift Shoppe Attendant
Reports To: Retail Director
Summary: The Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests and visitors while maintaining the daily operations of the hotel’s gift shop. This role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, restocking merchandise, and ensuring the shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with product inquiries and recommendations
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately
Maintain knowledge of all merchandise, including local souvenirs, snacks, apparel, and specialty items
Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is attractively presented
Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management
Keep the shop clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash drawer balances
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries
Promote hotel amenities, services, and local attractions when interacting with guests
Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention guidelines
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements Knowledge
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Must have knowledge of current industry trends and be comfortable experimenting with new promotional ideas
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays

Other Qualifications
Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available as business demands.
License Requirements
Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years.
