I. JOB SUMMARY

II. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Bellman will report to the Guest Services Manager/Bellman Supervisor
III. DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Must be Customer Service oriented. Must be able to work under pressure, available to work with, little or no supervision at all. Must be knowledgeable of the property, policy, and procedures to provide accurate information to guests, visitors, and employees. Transport guest luggage at curbside upon guest’s arrival, as well as delivering the luggage to a guest’s room after check-in. Bell service staff also store luggage for guests as needed before or after check-in/check-out, and usually load it directly into the taxicab or rental vehicle upon request. It may also include to deliver food and other items to a guest room. If requested Bellmen may also assist guests with laundry service. Bellman responsibilities include assisting guests with deciding for local activities. Bell service staff often recommend restaurants in various price ranges and local attractions. Provide polite and courteous service to all guests, visitors, owners, and associates; Report any suspicious or unlawful activity to the Security Department; Minor cleaning. Maintain neatness and organization of interior of the Bell stand; May be required to perform minor repairs if equipment malfunctions; Respond to guest inquiries regarding parking and property information.
IV. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively communicate via radio with the Safety & Security Department about the flow of traffic and guests for parking. Maintain courteous and professional customer service. Assist customers with all questions and concerns. Maintain a clean working environment. Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
V. QUALIFICATIONS Customer Service oriented. Able to work under pressure, available to work with, little or no supervision at all. Must be knowledgeable of the property, policy, and procedures to provide accurate information to guests, visitors, owners, and associates.
VI. REQUIRED Good customer service skills; Basic computer skills; A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Ability to communicate effectively orally by phone and radio, in person and in writing; Professional appearance and demeanor; A desire to help people. Must be able to work and function properly under all types of weather conditions, indoor and outdoor. Must be able to adhere to personal grooming standards and maintain any uniforms issued. Must be able to work weekends and weeknights. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
VII. PREFERRED These specifications do not disqualify candidates without them from consideration. Hospitality & Tourism Student or Graduate. 1 or 2 years of experience as a Bellman or a Host in any other Hospitality & Tourism Company. Prior Hospitality experience, to include Bell Services at a large-scale property will be considered.
