Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator. This role will report directly to the Resource Planning Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator. This role will report directly to the Resource Planning Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Estimate new plans and elevations including all plan options
- Participate in prototype walks to verify takeoffs, building practices, feature level and material usage
- Oversee / coordinate lumber, sheetrock, millwork, brick, windows and finish hardware takeoffs
- Review variance report weekly and correct takeoffs as necessary
- Create and maintain tracking document for takeoff requests
- Audit takeoff regularly to identify issues or cost savings opportunities
- Maintain files with product / vendor information
- Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors
- Field verify takeoffs and estimates as needed
- Thoroughly understand plan drawings
- Other duties as assigned
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with On Screen Takeoff, JDE and Hyphen preferred.
- 3 years of experience in an estimating role, preferably for a residential homebuilder.
- Relevant college background (preferred)
