Position Summary
The Van Conversion Sales Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for custom van conversion packages for auto dealers. This role works closely with dealers, internal production teams, and management to ensure quotes align with customer needs, build specifications, and company pricing standards.
This is a key role that bridges sales, pricing, and production coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates and quotes for custom van conversion packages
- Review dealer requests and recommend appropriate conversion options and upgrades
- Ensure pricing accuracy based on materials, labor, and conversion specifications
- Communicate clearly with dealers regarding scope, pricing, and timelines
- Coordinate with production and management to confirm feasibility and costs
- Maintain pricing sheets, option lists, and estimate documentation
- Track revisions, approvals, and finalized quotes
- Support dealer relationships with professional and timely follow-up
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive estimating, vehicle upfitting, or custom manufacturing preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive components and customization options
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, or CRM systems
Sales or dealer-facing experience is a plus
