Director, Corporate Finance

Legend Biotech is seeking Director, Corporate Finance as part of the Finance team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

Corporate finance is an area that helps make holistic, strategic operational finance decisions with Legend’s executive team. This role will work closely with the FP&A financial teams supporting the business units to consolidate financials at operating entity and consolidation level for the Chief Financial Officer and VP of Finance & Strategy. This will also include supporting financial due diligence for potential business development transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating and preparing actual, latest estimate, forecast and business plan financial projections for balance sheet, working capital and income statement at operating entity and consolidation level. Accountable for creating the process for consolidation and standardize reports in One Stream.
• Work with Treasury and Investor Relations to develop and routinely update cash forecasting projections and support financial modelling
• Responsible for preparing the Audit Committee and Board quarterly actual financial performance presentations, work with External Reporting, Accounting and FP&A to consolidate information. Create a standard process, leverage One Stream to help automate the process and preparation of slides.
• Improve SAP reporting system OneStream to streamline our monthly reporting process
• Provide guidance and timeline expectation to FP&A teammates to ensure on track budgeting or reporting processes
• Prepare executive level presentation and provide insightful analysis for key stakeholders
• Participate in internal and external audit reviews and process walkthroughs as needed
• Designing, developing and implementing methods and strategies to continually improve processes
• Support month-end close activities as needed
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; a major in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Professional certification (CPA/CMA) required
• MBA or advanced degrees preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience
• FP&A or a business partnering experience in a matrix environment
• Prior life sciences industry experience is preferred
• Knowledge of SOX financial controls on Accounting and Reporting processes is preferred
• Ability to partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to turn financial information into insights for our business partners
• Complex modeling and forecasting capabilities with focus on tracking key assumptions
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint) required; Excellent data management and reporting skills required
• Knowledge of common business and financial drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
• Able to perform in a high-pressure environment and be able to meet tight deadlines.

• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Onestream, etc) strongly preferred.
