Legend Biotech is starting their Summer Internship for the year of 2024! The R&D Team is seeking an Intern for a 10-week Internship Program that will run from June 10th, 2024, to August 16th, 2024. We are looking for students or recent grads who are passionate about helping others and building something that matters.
Role Overview
The R&D team is seeking a lab-based intern to help investigating novel arming strategies and identify optimal ones to improve function and fitness of immune cell-based modalities. The candidate will coordinate with other team members to execute research activities, analyze data and report results. The ideal candidate has experience in immune-oncology and /or CAR alpha-beta (ab) or gamma-delta (gd) T cells. Experience with cytotoxicity assays and flow cytometry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute experiments designed to characterize the function and fitness of immune cell therapy candidates.
- Laboratory techniques include CAR gd T activation and phenotypic tumor killing assay, multi-color flow cytometry.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Analyze scientific data and report results in a timely manner.
- Present results in small team and large functional group meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant biological field, such as molecular and cellular immunology or cancer biology. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in aseptic cell culture.
- Experience in immune cell isolation from blood samples and multi-color flow cytometry preferred.
- Experience in lentivirus and/or retrovirus production and transduction is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A team player who can work efficiently as an individual.
