Legend Auto Service is an Auto Shop in Puyallup, WA. We are a local automotive repair facility, our goal is to provide honest, affordable, reliable vehicle maintenance and repair solutions. Looking for a mechanic technician that is proficient in diagnostics and knows what they are doing. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, issues on our cars. We are looking for a trained and organized professional who takes pride in his or her work. The ideal candidate has good experience from OEM manufacturers on the proper diagnosis and repair procedures. We need a professional with a flexible schedule and a willingness to work overtime when needed. Looking for a professional who is a team player, someone who will work well with advisors, supervisors, other technicians and lot personnel.
Duties and responsibilities:
Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Preferred knowledge how to use OEM Ford, Mopar, or GM diagnostic scan tool for
diagnosis and repair.
Need to have knowledge of module replacement and programming.
Has a diagnostic process that leads to quality repair first time.
Completes full safety inspections
Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as
information provided by the customer.
Provide advisors with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain
approval prior to commencing work.
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to
determine if any other problems exist.
Describe the vehicle condition to the advisor and answer any follow up questions.
Troubleshoots and conducts both mechanical and electrical diagnoses
Performs all mechanical duties within the scope of experience and/or Certifications
deemed necessary for specific repairs
Perform alignments, suspension work, repair issues with vehicle to get vehicle aligned
properly.
Basic Tool Set, has enough to complete most jobs.
Excellent Diagnosis Understanding, Scan codes, Check TSB, Check Fuses, Visual
Inspection, Replace Parts.
Excellent Understanding of Computer Module operation and replacement
procedures.
Replace any parts on the vehicle.
Excellent understanding of Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain components and
operation.
Be able to replace Engine, Transmission, Timing Belt, Timing Chain, Water
Pumps, Cylinder heads, Camshafts, manual clutch set, front or rear axle, etc.
Have Excellent understanding of Alignments, be able to perform alignments, test
drive and locate issues with suspension systems.
Oil and Filter Changes/Inspection
Brakes Replacement, Pads and Rotors.
Scan and Print Check Engine Codes
Tire Replacements, Mount and Balance
Put the Car on a Lift Properly
Check Tire Air Pressures, Scan and reset TPMS light.
Replace TPMS sensors
Torque Wheel lug nuts when removing installing wheels.
Must be able to drive vehicles properly, Have license, Manual transmission
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Team player and ability to work collaboratively
Current, valid Washington State Driver’s License
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
Previous experience in automotive industry
Attention to detail
ASE certification preferred but not required.
5 years of automotive repair experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
