Member Services Representative/Paralegal

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Member Services Representative at Legal Resources plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to our Legal and Identity Theft Protection Plan Members and our national network of attorneys. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, the Representative ensures that Members receive timely, professional assistance with coverage inquiries, attorney referrals, and service concerns through inbound and outbound calls. The ideal Member Services Representative is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. A background as a certified paralegal, legal assistant, or professional customer service representative is a strong plus.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Certification as a paralegal, or willingness to earn certification, is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a general practice law firm, legal services environment is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of stable employment, professional reliability, and consistent performance.
  • Working knowledge of the legal system, court processes, and legal terminology.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally, confidently, and effectively with members, attorneys, and internal team members.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with database systems and customer service platforms is a plus.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and demonstrates pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating positive member experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, exercise empathy, and communicate with professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Demonstrates coachability, welcomes constructive feedback, and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and solutions-focused while assisting members experiencing stressful or emotionally charged legal situations.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with available shifts from either 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST or 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM EST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Legal Plan and ID Protection Members from over 1,500 client groups with questions regarding their legal coverage and help connect them with appropriate legal representation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with our national Law Firm Network of over 20,000 attorneys to arrange representation and address service concerns or complaints as they arise.
  • Collaborate closely with an internal team of experienced paralegals and staff to ensure seamless handling of Member and attorney-related matters.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute Member and attorney-related marketing materials, custom letters, and other communications.
  • Maintain accurate records, update member information, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to support administrative and reporting tasks, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to an environment that values superior customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
