The Role

We're looking for a mid-level SEO Specialist & Content Writer who can do both jobs well: write with clarity and authority, and optimize with precision.

You'll be writing and optimizing web pages, landing pages, and long-form content for competitive legal and medical verticals, then uploading, formatting, and managing it all in WordPress. You'll work directly alongside our SEO strategists, Google Ads team, and web developers to make sure everything you produce is aligned, performing, and improving.

This is a full-time, W2, in-office position at our Westlake Village, CA office. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.

What You'll Do

• Write high-quality, keyword-optimized content for web pages, landing pages, and blogs — with a focus on legal and medical verticals
• Apply on-page SEO best practices: metadata, header hierarchies, internal linking, alt text, and keyword placement
• Upload, format, and manage content directly in WordPress using Yoast SEO
• Research topics thoroughly to ensure factual depth and authority, especially in competitive legal niches
• Monitor content performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console and flag opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with the SEO strategy, Google Ads, design, and web development teams to align content with broader campaign goals
• Edit and proofread all content for grammar, tone, and brand consistency
• Optimize existing published content to improve rankings and conversion rates over time

What You Need to Bring

• Experience & Writing
• 2–4 years of experience in SEO content writing, preferably in legal, medical, or high-conversion verticals
• A strong portfolio of published web content, landing pages, or blogs that demonstrate real SEO results
• Excellent grammar, editing, and persuasive writing skills, you write for humans first, search engines second

SEO & Technical

• Solid working knowledge of on-page SEO: keyword research, metadata, header structure, internal linking
• Hands-on experience with WordPress (classic editor) and Yoast SEO
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Exposure to Ahrefs or Semrush is a strong plus

Work Style

• Detail-oriented and process-driven, you follow structured content systems and hit deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-output environment

Mandatory Requirements

All of the following must apply to you to be considered:

• Must work fully on-site in Westlake Village, CA — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and pass a comprehensive background check
• Cannot be self-employed, freelance, or actively managing personal SEO clients while employed here

Compensation & Benefits

• $72,000 – $85,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience
