We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable Digital Court Reporters to join our team. In this role, you will attend and monitor legal proceedings, manage digital recording technology, maintain accurate records, and prepare transcripts and related documentation. Digital Court Reporters play a critical role in supporting the legal process by ensuring proceedings are captured accurately and professionally.
Previous experience is welcome but not required. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role.
Training Provided
No prior digital court reporting experience? No problem.
We provide comprehensive training and onboarding, including instruction on digital court reporting procedures, legal workflows, industry standards, recording technology, transcript preparation, and best practices. Our experienced team will support you throughout the training process and beyond, helping you build confidence and develop the skills needed to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Attend and monitor court proceedings, depositions, hearings, and other legal events
- Operate and manage digital recording equipment and software
- Create and maintain accurate records of proceedings
- Prepare, review, and edit transcripts for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information
- Collaborate with attorneys, court personnel, and other legal professionals
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines
- Ensure all work complies with legal, procedural, and company standards
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written communication and proofreading abilities
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general computer applications
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional demeanor and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in court reporting, transcription, legal support, administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with legal terminology and legal proceedings
- Previous experience working remotely or in a professional administrative environment
