Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Attorney specializing in Family Law Litigation. The position is based in Fredericksburg, VA, and covers a five-county region. The Staff Attorney will provide legal advice, represent clients in family law cases, and handle litigation tasks including drafting motions, preparing for hearings, and conducting depositions. Additional responsibilities include managing caseloads effectively, ensuring thorough advocacy for low-income clients, and collaborating with colleagues to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications
- Interest in Family Law, especially the dynamics of domestic violence.
- Willingness to manage Legal Issues and provide direct client representation in county courts.
- Excellent oral and written advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligibility to waive into the Virginia State Bar under Rule 1A:9
- Commitment to serving low-income and under-served populations
- Prior experience in civil and family law litigation is highly advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
