Accounting Clerk
Position Summary
Our client, a well-established company based in Lake Oswego, OR, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 4 months.
This role will focus on full-cycle Accounts Payable and will also support the accounting team with account reconciliations and journal entries as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, matching, and vendor payments
- Reconcile AP, vendor statements, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and organized financial records
- Respond to internal and vendor inquiries related to payments and billing
- Support the accounting team with general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable and accounting support
- Working knowledge of reconciliations and journal entries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
