Facilities Manager

Legacy Youth Tennis and Education is a non-profit, sports-based youth development organization in Philadelphia. In addition to rigorous tennis programs at the center and in the community, Legacy offers educational programming to prepare young people for success both on and off the tennis court. Our programs are based on our mission: Preparing youth for success through our inclusive community, using tennis, education and character programming.

The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and safety of the facility along with the grounds at Legacy Youth Tennis and Education.

Responsibilities:

· Perform, oversee and/or coordinate all routine maintenance, repairs and inspections related to building and grounds upkeep including the tennis courts and equipment and lawn care

· Follow health, safety and security protocols and understand chemical safety data sheets

· Provide support for events including equipment and table set up and breakdown and custodial duties

· Ensure that the facility is safe, clean and well-maintained including building systems which include, but are not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical

· Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Operations to ensure all external service providers are managed properly

· Oversee storage areas and maintains supply inventory, equipment and materials

· Supervise other maintenance employees including planning, assigning and scheduling work and training to maintain best practices

· Responsible for building security including locking, unlocking and checking buildings and reporting security or maintenance issues to the Sr. Director of Operations.

· Contribute to and supervise vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, trash collection and disposal to maintain a clean and tidy facility

· Arrange and assist with snow removal and care

· Create and implement a compliance schedule to include OSHA compliance, fire drills, building and elevator inspections, and maintenance.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

· At least 3-5 years of experience of grounds and custodial building maintenance

· Ability to lift 50 lbs or more occasionally

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Punctuality and dependability

· Willingness to take on any task

· Impeccable integrity

Hours, Compensation and Benefits

This position is a full-time, salaried position requiring a minimum of 35 hours/week, with Monday-Friday hours, and some occasional weekend hours. The salary range is commensurate with prior professional experience. Benefits include: health and dental insurance, Paid Time Off “PTO,” 401k.
