Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, production lines, and facility surfaces according to FDA, USDA, and HACCP regulations .
- Follow detailed sanitation procedures and schedules to ensure compliance with food safety standards .
- Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely , ensuring proper dilution and use.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for deep cleaning and maintenance .
- Conduct inspections of cleaned equipment to verify sanitation effectiveness.
- Dispose of waste materials and maintain cleanliness in storage, breakroom, and restroom areas .
- Work closely with quality control teams to ensure sanitation procedures meet industry and company standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of cleaning logs, chemical usage, and safety protocols .
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Assist in other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the production facility .
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in sanitation within a food production, dairy, or manufacturing facility preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP regulations (a plus).
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict sanitation protocols .
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments .
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks .
- Willingness to work overnight shifts or weekends , as sanitation teams often work outside of regular production hours.
