Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Peeler Mechanic role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on peeling and processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Dismantle machinery to identify worn or defective parts and repair or replace components as needed.
· Examine parts for imperfections, wear, and proper alignment to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
· Adjust functional components and control instruments to meet operational standards.
· Install, align, and calibrate mechanical and structural components on peeling and related processing equipment.
· Lubricate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
· Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED preferred; technical certification is a plus.
· Minimum of 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and safety documentation.
· Basic understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and mechanical applications preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work including climbing, bending, and squatting.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
· Willingness to work extended schedules, weekends, and any assigned shift during the fresh pack season (typically July through early November).
