Substitute Teacher

Job Summary

Legacy Solutions Inc. is seeking reliable, professional, and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support our partner schools throughout the Atlanta Metro area. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining classroom continuity by delivering instruction, managing classrooms effectively, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment in the absence of full-time teachers.

Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or school administration

Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful learning environment

Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and lunch/recess (as needed)

Provide instructional support in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies)

Manage classroom behavior using school-approved strategies

Take attendance and document notable incidents or achievements

Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators

Ensure student safety at all times

Support school culture, expectations, and routines

Perform other duties as assigned by the school or Legacy Solutions team

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience working with children (schools, camps, churches, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Dependable, flexible, and professional

Preferred Skills

Classroom experience (volunteer or paid)

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds

Strong classroom management skills

Passion for education and community impact

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday

Flexible scheduling available

Full-day and half-day assignments

Opportunities for long-term assignments

Compensation

$130–$150 per day (depending on school assignment and experience)

Bi-monthly pay
