Position Overview
The Dining Services Director is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and execution of dining services operations. This role oversees kitchen management, menu
development, staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while ensuring residents receive high-quality meals and excellent service.
You will lead by example, mentor team members, and maintain a dining program that reflects both hospitality standards and senior nutrition needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all dining services operations
- Develop and implement seasonal and resident-focused menus
- Manage food budgets, purchasing, and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with health department and food safety regulations
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate dining services staff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Create a fine-dining style experience appropriate for senior living
- Collaborate with community leadership to enhance resident satisfaction
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3 years of food service leadership experience (senior living or healthcare preferred)
- Proven experience managing teams and department budgets
- ServSafe Certification required
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate teams and uphold service excellence
