Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 6th Grade Math Teacher to join our team at Legacy Preparatory - Mesquite West Campus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that follow the curriculum and successfully meet the learning needs of students.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing feedback, and implementing necessary adjustments to learning plans.
- Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where students feel safe, welcomed, and valued.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other staff members to discuss student progress and behavior.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of 6th-grade math curriculum and concepts.
- Must have Algebra II experience
- Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
Certifications:
The candidate must hold a valid Texas Educator Certification or have a Statement of Eligibility from an alternative certification program.
