Full-Time Plumbing Technician Apprentice

Legacy Plumbing Heating & Water Conditioning is looking for a dependable person who wants to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.

We welcome experienced plumbing technicians as well as motivated individuals who want to learn. Previous plumbing experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. We provide hands-on training in plumbing, heating and water-conditioning systems.

Compensation

• Apprentice or trainee: $16–$22 per hour
• Experienced plumbing technician: $22–$35 per hour

Starting pay is based on experience, mechanical ability, driving record and overall qualifications. Opportunities for increased pay are available as skills, responsibilities and performance grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plumbing, heating and water-conditioning installations and repairs
• Learn to diagnose plumbing and mechanical problems
• Use tools and equipment safely
• Keep work areas, equipment and vehicles clean and organized
• Communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers
• Accurately record job information and materials
• Follow company procedures and safety requirements
• Provide clean, professional workmanship

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable and able to arrive on time
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Comfortable working with tools and performing physical work
• Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in basements, crawl spaces and outdoors
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Plumbing, construction or mechanical experience is helpful but not required

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position. Saturday work may occasionally be available but is generally optional.

We serve Lancaster County and surrounding areas, including portions of Chester and Berks Counties.
