What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Plumber – Residential & Commercial position at Legacy Plumbing Group LLC?
Licensed Plumber – Residential & Commercial
Legacy Plumbing Group LLC is looking for an experienced licensed plumber who wants more than simply another plumbing job.
We are building and growing a plumbing company, and we are looking for the right person to help us continue building the Legacy brand, strengthen our reputation, and create an exceptional experience for our customers.
We are open to both Washington Residential Specialty Plumbers and Journeyman Plumbers. You do not need to be equally experienced in every area of residential and commercial plumbing. We are looking for strong plumbing experience, good judgment, independence, professionalism, and someone who takes ownership of their work.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your licensing and experience, your work may include:
- Residential plumbing service and repair
- Commercial plumbing service and repair
- Plumbing troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Residential remodels
- Commercial remodels and tenant improvements
- Commercial plumbing installation
- Water heater repair and replacement
- Drain cleaning and drain repairs
- Underground plumbing and dirt work
- Fixture installation and replacement
- Evaluating plumbing problems and recommending appropriate solutions
- Creating estimates while on site
- Explaining findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers
- Identifying materials and parts needed to complete work
- Documenting jobs with clear notes and photographs
- Managing assigned work through Housecall Pro
- Maintaining an organized and professional company service vehicle
More Than Technical Plumbing Skills
We are looking for someone who can do more than complete a repair.
Our plumbers need to be able to arrive at a home or business, evaluate the problem, determine a solution, communicate professionally with the customer, prepare an estimate, perform or coordinate the work, and accurately document what was completed.
Customer service is an important part of this position.
You should be comfortable explaining plumbing issues to customers in a way they can understand, presenting options without unnecessary pressure, and creating confidence in both yourself and Legacy Plumbing Group.
Technology is also part of how we operate. Our field team uses Housecall Pro to manage work orders, communicate job information, create estimates, upload photographs, document completed work, and maintain accurate customer records.
Qualifications
- Current Washington plumbing license appropriate for the work being performed
- Approximately 2–3 or more years of relevant plumbing experience
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Professional customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to develop and communicate repair estimates
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and field-service software
- Organized and thorough with job documentation
- Reliable and able to manage a daily schedule responsibly
- Professional when working in occupied homes, businesses, and customer environments
Experience in residential service, commercial service, remodeling, tenant improvements, drain cleaning, or Housecall Pro is a plus.
Compensation
$44.42–$52.42 per hour, based on licensing, experience, qualifications, and the type of work performed.
Our current compensation structure includes:
Residential Specialty Plumber – $44.42/hour
Journeyman / Commercial Plumber – $52.42/hour
Additional earning opportunities may be available for employees interested in voluntary after-hours, weekend, and on-call work.
Schedule
This is a full-time Monday–Friday position with approximately 32–40 hours per week.
There is no mandatory on-call requirement.
For team members interested in additional hours and additional earning opportunities, voluntary evening, weekend, and on-call work may be available.
Company Vehicle
Legacy Plumbing Group provides an assigned company service vehicle and company-paid fuel for work-related travel.
Vehicles are equipped with a selection of basic tools and equipment. Plumbers are expected to maintain their own preferred professional hand tools and other customary tools of the trade.
Benefits
Eligible employees have access to benefits including:
- Medical insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Paid holidays
- Paid time off
- Life insurance
- Additional voluntary benefit options
- Company service vehicle
- Company-paid fuel
Support Without Micromanagement
This position reports to our Service Operations Coordinator, who supports scheduling, customer communication, job coordination, and daily field operations from the office.
We want experienced plumbers to have the support and information they need while also having the independence to make good decisions and take ownership of their work in the field.
Grow With Legacy
One of the biggest opportunities with Legacy Plumbing Group is that we are still building. We have an incredible brand and others have already copied our brand.
You are not joining a company where every process, leadership position, and opportunity has already been filled.
As Legacy grows, new specialties, responsibilities, systems, and leadership opportunities will develop. The people who help us establish our standards, build strong customer relationships, improve how we operate, and strengthen the Legacy brand will have opportunities to grow along with the company.
We are looking for people who see that as an opportunity.
If you are an experienced plumber who takes pride in your work, communicates well with customers, can operate independently, and wants the opportunity to help build something rather than simply work inside something that has already been built, we would like to hear from you.
