About the Role
We're hiring a Valet Assistant Manager to help lead day-to-day valet operations at [Facility Name]. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be the person on the ground keeping the valet team sharp, the schedule covered, and the guest experience consistent — every shift, every car, every time.
This is a hands-on leadership role: part scheduler, part coach, part problem-solver. You'll split your time between overseeing operations and staying active in the flow of valet service.
What You'll Do
Oversee daily valet operations, including staffing levels, shift coverage, and workflow during peak and off-peak periods. Build and manage the valet team's schedule, handling call-offs, shift swaps, and coverage gaps. Supervise, coach, and support valet attendants, reinforcing safety, professionalism, and service standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for guest concerns or service issues during your shift, resolving them quickly and professionally. Monitor key handling, vehicle intake/retrieval procedures, and claim ticket processes to prevent errors and protect guest vehicles. Track and report on operational metrics (ticket volume, staffing needs, incidents) to the Operations Manager. Assist with onboarding and training new valet staff. Step in on the drive lane as needed to support the team during high-volume periods. Help enforce company policies, safety protocols, and Legacy Parking's service standards.
What We're Looking For
Prior experience in valet, parking operations, or hospitality, with some background in scheduling or supervising a team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required — you'll be driving guest vehicles). Comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods, in all weather conditions. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A genuine commitment to guest service — you set the tone for the team.
