About the Role

Are you passionate about creating meaningful moments that spark joy, connection, and purpose in the lives of seniors?

We’re seeking an energetic Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC) to join our Wellness Department a creative, hands-on professional who can design and lead engaging programs that nurture the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental.

This isn’t a “sit at the desk” position. It’s about bringing life into every corner of the community from themed events and educational programs to fitness, music, and memory-care engagement. The LEC leads the charge in creating experiences that make residents feel truly seen, valued, and fulfilled.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Resident Service Specialist, Medication Room Coordinator, and Resident Care Coordinator to ensure programming aligns with each resident’s care plan, history, and personal goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, coordinate, and lead enriching programs and events using the Whole-Person Wellness Model.

  • Create and distribute a monthly newsletter, event calendar, and daily activity schedule that excite residents and families alike.

  • Build individualized programs based on resident assessments, life histories, and preferences.

  • Host daily and weekly events from morning movement classes to evening socials that foster engagement and connection.

  • Collaborate with the Wellness Team on behavioral interventions and resident-centered support strategies.

  • Plan and supervise resident outings, ensuring transportation and safety protocols are met.

  • Manage department budgets, track spending, and oversee supply and equipment needs.

  • Coordinate community-wide celebrations, themed décor, and volunteer programs.

  • Promote family and community involvement through open-house events, intergenerational partnerships, and creative collaborations.

  • Maintain compliance with Title 22, DHCS, and CMS Final Rule standards for assisted living and memory care activity programs.

What You Bring
  • A heart for seniors and a passion for creativity, connection, and compassion.

  • At least 2 years of experience in activity programming for older adults or similar settings.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to inspire others to participate.

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

  • Tech-savvy mindset for scheduling, newsletters, and photo documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for community events.

Required Certifications
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

  • Negative TB test and Health Screening (LIC 503).

  • Fingerprint clearance (LIC 508) and background check per state regulations.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with resident mobility during events or outings.

  • Must be comfortable leading programs both indoors and outdoors in a lively environment.

Why Join Us

Here, you’re not just planning activities you’re building community.

You’ll be part of a supportive Wellness Team that values creativity, inclusion, and forward-thinking care practices. Every program you create contributes to the residents’ joy, connection, and sense of belonging.

Bring your energy, your heart, and your ideas and help us make every day meaningful.
