POSITION SUMMARY:
- The purpose of the RN Weekend Supervisor position is to provide support and
oversight to the nursing department by organizing and managing nursing services provided by the facility on weekends. - Assists the DON in the supervision of nursing care and nursing staff on weekends.
The Weekend RN Supervisor assists in management, delegation, and contribution to nursing department programs such as
weights, infection control, incidents and accidents, gradual dose reductions, etc.
Assists in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and scope of
practice.- Overseeing nursing services during the evenings and weekends, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Managing clinical staff and operations during weekend shifts, including medication passes and direct resident care.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic patient care.
- Developing and implementing individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including monitoring health status and vital signs.
- Providing emotional support and education to residents and their families, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their well-being.
