Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
- Monitor resident health, noting any changes and reporting concerns to the physician or nurse management team
- Assist in developing, updating, and implementing individual care plans for residents
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to safety protocols
- Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere among staff members, residents, and families
- Serve as a resource for team members, promoting professional growth and supporting leadership development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
- Promote a culture of patient advocacy, ensuring that residents' dignity, rights, and preferences are always respected
What We're Looking For:
- Current LVN licensure.
- Charge nurse experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of long-term care nursing protocols and procedures
- Compassionate, patient, and selfless attitude towards residents and their families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team
- Leadership abilities with a desire to mentor and support nursing staff
- Respect for residents, families, and coworkers, with a focus on maintaining a positive and professional environment
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and provide care with empathy and professionalism
