Full-Time Convenience Store Clerk

Position summary

The Convenience Store Clerk provides friendly, efficient service while helping keep the store clean, stocked, and ready for customers. This role handles sales transactions, maintains product displays, follows store procedures, and supports a safe, welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve routine concerns professionally.

• Operate the register and process cash, card, and other approved payments accurately.

• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate products and check for expired or damaged items.

• Maintain clean sales areas, restrooms, food-service areas, and exterior spaces as assigned.

• Prepare or replenish coffee, beverages, and other food-service items in accordance with store procedures.

• Verify identification for age-restricted sales and follow all applicable laws and store policies.

• Receive deliveries, check merchandise, and report discrepancies to management.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when items need to be reordered.

• Follow procedures for cash handling, loss prevention, food safety, and workplace safety.

• Complete opening, closing, and shift-change tasks as assigned.

• Work cooperatively with team members and assist with other store duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred; training may be provided.

• Ability to handle transactions accurately and use a point-of-sale system.

• Clear communication skills and a courteous, dependable approach to customer service.
