Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team to support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining compliance and assisting with month-end and special accounting processes.
Duties
- Process invoices, apply payments, and maintain accurate accounting records
- Prepare check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments as needed
- Generate invoices, monitor EDI errors, and assist with deductions or disputes
- Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and support collections
- Track international shipments, inventory in-transit, vendor returns, and credit card statements
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of accounting processes and transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues
- Participate in special projects and process improvements
Skills
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and 2 years relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; SAP experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
