Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers and assisting with product inquiries
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity
- Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring products are properly merchandised and stocked
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers
- Foster a positive shopping environment through effective communication skills and friendly attitude
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking or merchandising
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of retail sales is advantageous
