Our client is seeking a technical administrative professional responsible for the high-level creation, formatting, and management of complex legal documents. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment, possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, and maintains strict confidentiality.
Core Responsibilities
- Document Production & Styling: Creating, revising, and reformatting complex legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, contracts, and correspondence. This includes generating Tables of Authorities (TOA), Tables of Contents (TOC), and automated cross-referencing.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Repairing corrupted document files and resolving complex formatting issues in Microsoft Word or specialized legal software.
- Conversion & Comparison: Converting documents between multiple file formats (e.g., PDF to Word) and producing "redline" or "blackline" comparisons to track changes between versions.
- Data Management: Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems within a Document Management System (DMS) like iManage or NetDocs.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with e-filing in state and federal courts, preparing closing binders with hyperlinked indexes, and occasionally transcribing audio dictation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a law firm.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal-specific tools like Litera, Best Authority, or Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information discreetly, and resilience in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree is required
- Typing Speed: 70 wpm with high accuracy.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
