What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (NP) position at Legacy IHP Solutions?
We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with at least three years of nursing experience to join our growing team in the Brainerd/Baxter area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
- Build a rapport with the patient and explain condition and course of action effectively through written and oral communication
- Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling
- Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses
- Perform quality control and maintain a high standard in relation to infection control mechanisms for patient safety
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for patients
