What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant position at Legacy Home Care, LLC?
Caregivers should be able to perform the following: basic first aid; provide clients with reminders to take medication; depending on the type of clients, care services for persons specific to the physical and/or mental condition of the individual, for example Alzheimer's disease, related dementia, cognitive disabilities, or similar disabilities; confidentiality of client information and records and the protecting of clients rights, including prevention of abuse and neglect; documentation and recordkeeping procedures; ethics and interpersonal relationships; proper lifting and transfer techniques;
Minimum qualifications for caregivers:
- be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with client and supervisor
- be capable of completing assigned job duties;
- be capable of following a care services plan with minimal supervision, if applicable;
- Have a driver's license and proof of insurance if transportation is a part of the caregiver's duties;
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
