What You'll Do
As the Regional MDS Coordinator, you will work closely with facility Administrators, Directors of Nursing, ADONs, MDS Coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely MDS completion, care planning, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
Provide regional support and oversight for the MDS process across assigned facilities
Train, coach, and onboard facility MDS/Clinical Care Coordinators
Review and monitor MDS scheduling, completion, and submission timelines
Support accurate care planning, care plan review, and documentation practices
Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and reimbursement opportunities
Serve as an MDS/RAI resource for facility leadership and IDT teams
Support PDPM, CMI, QAPI, Triple Check, Managed Care updates, ADR reviews, and audit readiness
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local MDS requirements
Assist facilities remotely or onsite as needed, including interim MDS support when assigned
What We're Looking For:
Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
Strong knowledge of the MDS process and long-term care regulations
Ability to travel within assigned territory as needed
Preferred experience:
RAC-CT Certification
At least 1 year of RN experience in long-term care
At least 1 year of experience as an MDS Coordinator
Nursing management, regional support, or consulting experience
