Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to ensure consistent and reliable environmental control.
- Services and troubleshoots refrigeration systems and related accessories.
- Repairs and calibrates pneumatic and electronic equipment and temperature control systems.
- Maintains and tests emergency electrical systems to ensure readiness during power outages.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs locks and door hardware.
- Performs routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems throughout the facility.
- Tests, inspects, and repairs fire safety equipment, including alarms and sprinkler systems.
- Maintains and services patient care equipment to support safe and effective clinical operations.
- Conducts day-to-day running repairs to support the continuous and safe operation of hospital services.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completed courses in apprenticeship program for journeyman engineer.
- Four years minimum experience.
- Knowledge of heating cooling and ventilation.
- Current valid applicable state driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements.
