Responsibilities
- Continuously observe cardiac monitors to detect arrhythmias and note any changes relative to each patient’s acceptable parameters.
- Promptly report significant changes to the patient’s nurse and Patient Care Coordinator (PCC).
- Perform assigned clerical duties to support the cardiopulmonary team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment, including proper care of equipment and supplies.
- Promote cost-effective healthcare through the appropriate use of supplies and resources.
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and the successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmias course.
- Able to accurately interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Basic familiarity with computers preferred.
