Survey CAD Technician

We’re hiring a Survey CAD Technician to support land surveying and civil projects through accurate drafting and survey computations. This role partners with project managers to produce high-quality plans on schedule and within budget. You’ll also contribute to team development through training and collaboration.

This is a good fit for someone with hands-on AutoCAD experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and drafting for:
• House stakeouts and wall checks
• Final surveys and house location surveys
• As-built surveys and record plats
• Subdivision layouts and easement plats
• Boundary and topographic surveys
• Compile and process survey data (field data, calculations, and hardcopy deliverables
• Prepare accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines and budget targets
• Participate in internal AutoCAD user groups and ongoing technical training
• Support additional survey office tasks as needed
  

Skills, Knowledge, Expertise

• 1–2 years of survey drafting or survey CAD experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred but not required)
• Experience with land surveying workflows, plats, and survey computations
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Team-oriented with solid communication and collaboration skills
