Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in residential and commercial settings. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and systems across various construction and maintenance projects. The Electrician will ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including 2023 NEC regulations, to deliver reliable electrical solutions for our clients.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters and ammeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform wiring of control panels, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure proper installation of electrical infrastructure during new builds or renovations.
- Follow all safety procedures related to construction site work, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
- Assist in framing carpentry tasks when necessary for electrical installations in construction projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with 2023 NEC standards
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills; and testing devices like ohmmeters and ammeters.
- Prior work on construction sites involving electrical wiring installations is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by construction environments.
- Schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and low/high voltage systems is is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques related to complex electrical systems.
