Automotive Technician

Legacy Cranes & Equipment is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and be capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake replacements.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems accurately.
• Follow manufacturer and dealership repair guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repairs needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Document all work performed in service records or repair orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus).
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with repair software and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models.
• State inspection and emissions certification (if applicable).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
