Duties
- Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy across all accounts.
- Process payroll accurately and timely while adhering to relevant payroll regulations and standards.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Prepare detailed journal entries, financial reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with budgeting processes and support financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP), financial concepts, and general ledger accounting practices.
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and other financial software tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
