What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level Civil Engineer position at Legacy Collaborative, LLC?
As a member of our team, you will focus on performing routine engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles to complete project requirements. You will be assigned specific tasks within a project and are expected to apply your education, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking to carry out your responsibilities effectively. Through this process, you will gain exposure to various aspects of project development and learn how to complete the tasks necessary to produce a comprehensive set of plans. Additionally, you will:
- Work closely with experienced engineers to develop civil site designs, infrastructure plans, and construction documentation.
- Engage in meaningful site evaluations, gaining valuable hands-on experience through field visits and assessments.
- Learn and apply advanced engineering software tools for drafting and modeling, sharpening your technical skills.
- Play an essential role in preparing permits, regulatory documentation, and reports that facilitate project approvals and implementation.
- Contribute to sustainable, innovative solutions that positively impact communities and enhance public spaces.
Additional opportunities will include:

Essential Skills and Experience:
· This position requires a BSCE from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
· Proficiency with MS Office applications
Desired but not required:
· Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training
· 1-2 years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models.
· Familiarity with civil engineering software programs such as Civil 3D, StormCad, PondPack, and Mircrostation or AutoCad.
· Experience in site grading and drainage, storm sewer systems, road design, track design, ponds, and/or landfills.
- Related engineering internship or co-op work experience.
