Manufacturing / Process Engineer -- Cast Products

We manufacture architectural cast products — glass-fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC), glass-fiber

reinforced gypsum (GFRG), cast stone, expanded polystyrene shapes, and FRP composites — for

commercial and specialty projects. This engineer owns the path from drawing to mold to first article to a

piece that ships on time and holds margin.

Convert architectural and shop drawings into makeable parts: piece tickets, mold versus reuse,

pour orientation, draft, undercuts, lift points, crate orientation, and install sequence.

• Design and specify molds (CNC foam, FRP, rubber, wood, or hybrid). Set parting lines, draft,

mold reinforcement, expected pull life, and repair-versus-recut decisions.

• Run first-article inspection against approved shop drawings. Define dimensional and finish

tolerances. Track scrap by cause (mix, mold, demold, handling, cure, finish) and close the loop.

• Specify embeds, inserts, bonding pads, panel frames, lifting hardware, and crate blocking so

pieces survive transit and can be installed in the field.

• Answer RFIs and prepare submittals, mockups, and finish samples. Keep scope changes out of

the shop unless they are priced.

• Write one-page SOPs the floor will use. Own silica, dust, spray, resin, hoist, and panel-handling

risk in the process — not on a poster.

• Coordinate with production, estimating, and shipping. When a spec requires stamped

connection or panel-frame calculations, package the package for an outside PE.
