Housing SpecialistLocation: Montebello, CAJob Type: Full-TimePay: $25 – $30 per hour / Direct Hire position - NOT Temp or Temp to HireSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and motivated Housing Specialist to join our team and support individuals and families at risk of homelessness. In this role, you will help clients secure and maintain safe, permanent, and affordable housing while providing advocacy, resources, and ongoing case management to improve overall stability and quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Intake & Assessment: Conduct housing, income, and eligibility assessments while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.Housing Planning & Placement: Create individualized housing plans, assist with rental applications, coordinate move-ins, and provide relocation support.Landlord & Community Advocacy: Negotiate with landlords, property managers, and utility providers on behalf of clients.Client Education: Provide guidance on budgeting, tenant rights and responsibilities, and housing options.Case Management & Follow-Up: Connect clients to supportive services, maintain housing records, and monitor housing stability over time.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or social services field (required).Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in housing services, case management, or social services.Skills: Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.Why Join Us?Make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organization focused on preventing homelessness.Competitive hourly pay and benefits package.Supportive, collaborative, and professional work environment.Company DescriptionAt Legacy Career Solutions, we are more than a staffing agency.
