Job Overview
Legacy Cabinetry & Design is seeking a Technical Designer / Estimator to help bring custom kitchen and bath projects to life. We work closely with homeowners, interior designers, and builders to create cabinetry that is personal, thoughtfully designed, and built around each client’s needs.
In this role, you will work alongside our designers to develop detailed cabinetry drawings and prepare project estimates. We are looking for someone who enjoys working through details, understands how things are built, and takes pride in producing accurate work. You should be comfortable asking questions, solving problems, and keeping your work moving toward agreed deadlines.
Responsibilities
Create detailed cabinetry drawings and 3D models using cabinetry design software.
Work with designers to translate layouts and design ideas into accurate, workable cabinet details.
Prepare cabinetry estimates from project plans and designs, checking quantities, specifications, and pricing.
Revise drawings and estimates as layouts, selections, and project needs change.
Meet at project sites to verify field measurements of cabinetry areas.
Review your work for accuracy and identify missing information or details that need clarification.
Communicate with the team about priorities, progress, and deadlines.
Help document and improve our drawing and estimating processes.
Experience and Qualifications
Experience in cabinetry design, CAD drafting, estimating, or a similar role.
Technical expertise in custom cabinetry, including construction methods, cabinet details, and how cabinetry fits into a finished space; custom construction experience is valued.
Familiarity with cabinetry design software such as Mozaik or Cabinet Vision, with a willingness to learn our systems.
Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and comfort working with dimensions and pricing.
Clear communication and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
