What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Legacy Bank and Trust?
Summary: The Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting the Loan Officers in the underwriting and preparation of loan requests for the Commercial Loan Department. Duties also include monitoring borrower financial information, including project performance, covenant compliance, delinquencies, maturities, and providing accurate assessments of ongoing project conditions financial stability.

Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate Legacy Bank and Trust corporate values in all situations and interactions.
- Underwrite and prepare loan proposals for loan committee discussion.
- Review and produce renewal and modifications to existing credits.
- Periodically assist with loan reviews / annual cash flows of borrowers.
- Assist with the updating and annual maintenance of loan files to ensure the most current financial information has been obtained.
- Help coordinate various credit functions for the bank such as preparation for loan committee and upcoming regulatory exams.
- Assist with the proposal and closing of all government guaranteed loan programs.
- All tax credit underwriting related action including compliance support.
- Handling new customer loan requests from taking applications to closing the loan.
- Assisting the borrower in determining the proper type of loan, assisting in completing the loan application and gathering the necessary paperwork, including pay stubs, tax returns and bank statements, to begin the loan process.
- Monitor and manage current customer loans to ensure adherence with the bank’s loan policy, federal laws, and other requirements as necessary.
- Regularly attend and present information as necessary at all loan meetings as requirement by management.
- Be a part of the respective business community in which the bank serves.
- Assist in various portfolio scrubs for stress testing on a quarterly basis.
- Review maturing loan list monthly.
- Complete all required training as well as ABA assigned courses.
- All other loan operations and processing duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Prior experience as a credit analyst is required.
