The Role
The Bakery Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring bakery production equipment, ensuring that all products meet Legacy Bakehouse’s quality and efficiency standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth production, food safety compliance, and equipment reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, operate, and monitor the continuous mixing and pita lines.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, identify maintenance needs, and report issues to your supervisor.
- Conduct product testing according to internal and customer specifications.
- Record production data, lot numbers, and quality checks at required intervals for traceability.
- Adjust equipment settings to maintain target production and quality standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements, including daily and scheduled cleaning per the cleaning matrix.
- Complete line changeovers and prepare for the next production run efficiently.
What We’re Looking for
- Reliable and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and write in English (Spanish proficiency a plus).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing required; QA or food safety experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn and apply technical concepts (SQF, HACCP, Food Safety).
- Willing to assist in other departments as needed.
