Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Detailer role located in North Haven, CT. The Detailer will perform interior and exterior vehicle cleaning and detailing, including washing, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, polishing, and applying protective treatments such as waxes or ceramic coatings. Day-to-day tasks include preparing new and used vehicles for showroom display, completing trade-in reconditioning, supporting lot and inventory maintenance, and assisting with fleet and bulk detailing projects as needed. The role also involves following standardized detailing procedures, using equipment and products safely, meeting quality and time standards, and working closely with the team to support dealership schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in interior and exterior vehicle cleaning and detailing, including washing, vacuuming, polishing, and use of detailing products and tools.
- Experience or familiarity with paint correction, polishing, and application of protective coatings such as waxes or ceramic coatings.
- Ability to follow established processes and checklists, manage time efficiently, and maintain consistent quality in a high-volume environment.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle surfaces and materials, with attention to preventing damage and ensuring a professional finish.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on vehicles for extended periods, including working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, team members, and dealership staff.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to move vehicles safely on and around the lot.
- Prior detailing, automotive, or dealership experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and follow training is essential.
