What You Will Do:
The Account Specialist supports the Client Services Team team by coordinating the operational and administrative aspects of employee benefits accounts. This role helps maintain client data, track renewal and RFP timelines, and supports the enrollment and compliance processes. As the Account Specialist, you would primarily be working behind the scenes to ensure client accounts are organized, accurate, and prepared for renewal and service needs. This position is primarily internal-facing, though some customer interaction may be required.

The Account Specialist position is perfect for someone who loves a spreadsheet, staying organized, and checking things off their to-do list. You do not need previous insurance experience. This position is designed as an entry-level pathway into employee benefits account management, providing exposure to brokerage operations, client service, and benefits strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Data & Account Management
● Maintain accurate employee census data used for quoting, renewals, and reporting
● Maintain organized clients records and documentation within CRM systems, benefits platforms, and carrier portals
● Verify data accuracy and assist with preparing reports used by the Client Services Team
Renewal & RFP Coordination
● Maintain and monitor client renewal calendars to ensure deadlines are met
● Track RFP timelines and submission requirements
● Compile and organize data needed for carrier quitting and renewal analysis
● Assist in preparing renewal and proposed materials, including organizing carrier quotes and plan information
Prospect Support
● Assist with quoting for new business opportunities
● Create professional rate summaries and proposal materials
● Support the sales process by gathering data and coordinating with carriers
Client Service Support
● Provide operational support to Account Managers and Account Executives in managing assigned accounts
● Assist with preparation of open enrollment materials and documentation
● Support internal coordination of client service requests and follow-up items
● Occasionally assist with client or carrier communication as needed
Systems & Process Support
● Utilize CRM systems, benefits administration platforms, and carrier portals to maintain accurate account information
● Maintain internal tracking tools for renewals, enrollments, and compliance deadlines
● Identify opportunities to improve organizational workflows

Required Education & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
● Strong organizational and time-management skills
● High attention to detail and accuracy when working with data
● Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
