General Cleaner

Position Summary

The Restaurant Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the entire restaurant facility outside of the kitchen production areas. This position ensures customers and employees enjoy a safe, sanitary, and professional environment every day.

Essential ResponsibilitiesDining Room & Customer Areas

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop all dining room floors
• Clean and sanitize all tables, chairs, and booths
• Clean windows, glass doors, and entrance areas
• Dust décor, shelving, picture frames, and fixtures
• Wipe down beverage stations and customer condiment areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from doors and glass surfaces
• Maintain a clean, welcoming lobby throughout the day

Restrooms

• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, and countertops
• Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Sweep and mop restroom floors
• Clean restroom walls, partitions, and doors
• Remove trash and sanitize trash containers
• Report maintenance issues immediately

Office & Administrative Areas

• Dust desks, shelving, cabinets, and office furniture
• Vacuum and mop office floors
• Empty office trash
• Organize common office areas
• Clean windows, doors, and light switches
• Maintain a professional work environment for management

Upstairs & Basement

• Sweep and mop all hallways and stairways
• Dust handrails, shelves, storage areas, and fixtures
• Organize storage rooms
• Remove cobwebs and debris
• Keep basement areas clean and hazard-free
• Ensure emergency exits remain accessible

Building & Facility Maintenance

• Dust baseboards, vents, and light fixtures
• Clean walls, doors, and trim throughout the facility
• Spot clean fingerprints and marks on painted surfaces
• Clean employee break areas
• Maintain janitorial closets and cleaning supplies
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects

Exterior Responsibilities

• Sweep sidewalks and entryways
• Remove litter from parking lot and landscaping
• Empty outdoor trash receptacles
• Clean entrance doors and windows
• Maintain curb appeal around the restaurant
• Report exterior maintenance concerns

General Responsibilities

• Follow all company cleaning schedules and checklists
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Notify management of repairs or maintenance needs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb stairs throughout the shift
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move furniture when cleaning
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely use ladders when needed

Qualifications

• Previous commercial, janitorial, or restaurant cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Dependable with strong attendance
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
