What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Lefty's Coffee Co.?
Lefty's Coffee Co. is a community-oriented coffee shop in Los Olivos, dedicated to exceptional coffee and meaningful human connection. We are looking for an upbeat and hard-working barista with not only great customer service skills, but strong leadership skills and motivation to learn and grow within a dynamic environment. The barista will be responsible for the preparation and service of drinks and baked goods, cleaning equipment and end-of-day clean-up. In addition, the barista level position includes welcoming customers and providing them with a highly engaging experience. Specifically, we are looking for someone to do the following:·
- Preparing and serving drinks and baked goods
- Solving challenges faced by customers and employees
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment, product inventory and shop supplies
- Opening and closing
- Taking payment and handling phone and online orders
Barista experience and knowledge of coffee is preferred along with a knowledge of all aspects of the business from espresso machines and coffee brewing to an assortment of hot and cold drinks. Hours of operation will be approximately 7am-2pm daily.
