Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens and other culinary tools
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties and seasonal specials based on customer preferences and current food trends
- Support dietary department needs by adhering to dietary restrictions and recipe adherence guidelines during meal preparation
- Maintain high standards of food safety management throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly with pizza or similar cuisine
- Strong culinary skills including knife skills, food preparation techniques like braising, poaching, grilling, and meal prep
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume production settings
- Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience is desirable
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence and customer satisfaction
